The exciting veggie this week: CARROTS! Fresh carrots are so sweet and crisp and yummy. We are going out of town on Tuesday, and if we don’t use them before then, I will just scrub them and we can eat them as car snacks.
This week I brought home the following:
1 head of lettuce
2 garlic scapes
1 bunch of swiss chard
1 head of pok choi
1 bunch of carrots
I know that I’ll be making a big salad tomorrow to clean out the fridge. It will probably feature broccoli, avocado, whatever else I can find in there, and of course, the lettuce. I just received a bunch of different grains, etc. from my friend Kendra, so we’ll see how they can go with the chard and pok choi.
